Europe cannot afford to step back on the green transition. It was a strong appeal for European unity at a time of geopolitical tensions and crucial industrial choices – with one clear message: public spending must become a driver for climate action, jobs, and European competitiveness.

On September 24, the BESA campaign (Buy European and Sustainable Act) will host a public event in Rome at Europa Experience – David Sassoli, bringing together institutions, businesses, and local authorities. The discussion will focus on how Italy can contribute to the reform of European procurement rules, promoting sustainability, innovation, and industrial competitiveness. With European public administrations spending over €2 trillion annually, strategic procurement can reduce emissions, create quality jobs, and strengthen local supply chains.
