Strengthening the capacity of small municipalities to manage public procurement more efficiently and strategically, by promoting cooperation and shared approaches. This is the focus of the webinar “Joint Procurement – Sustainable joint procurement for small municipalities”, scheduled for 25 March 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET, to be held online.
The initiative is part of the activities of the European project proCURE, which aims to support local authorities in improving their competences in sustainable public procurement. In this context, the webinar will explore the role of joint procurement as a practical tool to enhance the effectiveness of purchasing processes, particularly in smaller municipalities where resources and expertise are often limited.
By aggregating demand, joint procurement allows public authorities to achieve more favourable market conditions, reduce administrative workload and share technical competences. At the same time, it strengthens cooperation between local authorities and supports more structured and professional procurement practices.
The webinar will present a practical guide and real-life experiences, offering participants concrete insights into how joint procurement can be implemented. A dedicated session will also be included to encourage discussion and exchange among participants.
The event is addressed to mayors, policy-makers, municipal directors, procurement officers and, more broadly, public sector professionals involved in inter-municipal cooperation.
The webinar will take place online and will be available with simultaneous interpretation in Italian, German, French and Slovenian.
Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration.
