Forum Compraverde Buygreen 2022: how to use PNRR funds in a sustainable way

The start of the annual Forum Compraverde Buygreen is just over a week away. The 2022 edition will take place in the historic WeGil building in Trastevere, on 19 and 20 October next and will be available in live streaming on www.forumcompraverde.it.

The first novelty of this edition from the central theme “Without GPP no funds from the PNRR” concerns precisely the particular focus on green and sustainable procurement in the PNRR, theme around which the two-day schedule is built with a rich program of conferences, workshops and seminars. There will be more than 180 speakers and professionals from the sector who will share on stage the experiences, the projects, the good practices but also the critical aspects of the many topics addressed.

On Wednesday the19th of October 2022 – in the presence of authorities from the world of institutions and businesses – the relationship between the war and the energy crisis will be discussed, assessing to what extent it is blocking the Green Deal, therefore, the same ecological transition. The conferences and workshops scheduled will enter even more in the heart of the matter with the direct participation of realities called to confront themselves through the sharing of their experiences and the focus of common points on the subject of Green Procurement.

Expected in the early afternoon, the presentation of the Sustainability Monitor Report, the annual report on environmental and social sustainability of supply chains of major Italian companies. Now in its third edition, the report will exclusively provide the results of the annual survey on sustainable purchasing policies and the environmental and social criteria adopted by about 200 large Italian companies.

During the day we will also talk about sustainable cultural events, Renewable energy, managerial skills for sustainability and from the forum stage will also be presented the European campaign Buy Better Food that aims to make sustainable public and school canteens in 12 European countries.

On Thursday, the 20th of October 2022, the Green Procurement Observatory returns punctually with the presentation of the numbers of the Italian Green Public Procurement, the state, trends, accelerations of the PNRR. The second day discussion will deepen the compliance of PNRR projects with the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principle. This last one establishes that the previewed interventions from the national PNRR do not cause no meaningful damages to the atmosphere and will be explained in detail in support to the Public Administrations, so that the opportunities tied to the transition process can be seized ecological, energy, social as well as digital.

The XVI edition confirms the Compraverde Award – a recognition for those realities, public and private, that along the Boot have been able to stand out in compliance with minimum environmental criteria – divided into sections: Compraverde, Green Canteen, Vendor Rating and Sustainable Purchases, Green Culture, Green Building and Social Procurement.

The Forum 2022 will also feature musical performances and sensory experiences. In fact, It will stage the show – in the day of Cuban culture. -the Orichas de Cuba: nature dances by Irma Castillo y Ulises Mora, and the stage conference on the life of bees led by entomologist Gianumberto Accinelli and actress Marianna Morandi, where participants will be guided through the flowers and hives to discover the “The wonderful life of bees”: the leading experts and professionals of biodiversity and natural specialists of CAM and GPP.
